We are a local club that gets together regularly for monthly astronomy talks (at our regular meetings on the first Friday of every month), enjoy regular star parties (at our observatory and local schools), and other local astronomy related events.

This website is to reach out to new people who may be interested in joining us in our events, and also to our current members to find information on upcoming events.

Reminder: Science North Star-Party, May 18th.

Hi Everyone! This is a reminder that there will be a Star-Party at Science North, May 18th at 10PM. The event will be located at the Bell Grove site, in front of the entrance. This is a joint event between the Sudbury Astronomy Club and Science North. Bluecoats and Astronomy Club members will be on hand, with telescopes and binoculars to answer any questions you may have about the night sky. This is a free event, everyone is welcome. We only ask you bring your eyes and a keen enthuisasm.

Marc Robert Memorial Award Presentation


Sudbury Astronomy Club President Robert Pothier presented the Marc Robert Memorial Award to Andrea Glibbery at the May meeting this past Friday, May 4th. Andrea is a past Secretary of the Astronomy Club, and the club wishes to thank her for her service. Congratulations, Andrea!

The Marc Robert Memorial Award is given to deserving young members of the club, who through their contribution,  have helped make the club a better place.
